Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board that a Grant-in-Aid, Electoral Area B – Shawnigan Lake, in the amount of $2,500 be provided to the Shawnigan Lake Community Association to support community building, business networking events and coordinating of volunteer groups ~ first event July 8, 2022, for the whole community.

Grant-in-Aid Request, Electoral Area B – Shawnigan Lake Re: Mill Bay & District Conservation Society

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board that a Grant-in-Aid, Electoral Area B – Shawnigan Lake, in the amount of $3,000 be provided to the Mill Bay & District Conservation Society to support the purchase of a shipping container to store the equipment they use for the salmon project.

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board that a Grant-in-Aid, Electoral Area B – Shawnigan Lake, in the amount of $1,000 be provided to the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce to support the year-round visitor servicing operations of the Cowichan Regional Visitor Centre.

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board that a Grant-in-Aid, Electoral Area D – Cowichan Bay, in the amount of $1,000 be provided to the Cowichan Community Workshop Co-op for the purpose of acquiring tools and educational resources for the educational programs being developed at the Cowichan Community Workshop Co-op.

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board:
1. That the Official Community Plan and Zoning Amendment Bylaws for Application No. RZ21C01 (3570 Telegraph Road, PID: 010-427-171) be forwarded to the Board for consideration of 1st and 2nd reading;
2. That a public hearing be scheduled for Application No. RZ21C01 (3570 Telegraph Road, PID: 010-427-171), with Directors from Electoral Areas A, B, and C as delegates;
3. That the referrals for Application No. RZ21C01 (3570 Telegraph Road, PID:010-427-171) be accepted;
4. That a restrictive covenant be registered to prohibit any Strata Plan registration of dwellings, and restrict the expansion of tourist accommodation permitted on the property; and

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board:

Recommendation That it be recommended to the Board:
1. That the 2022 Budget for Function 350 – Fire Protection North Oyster be amended to:
     a. Increase transfer from operating reserve - $3,140; and
      b. Increase furniture, fixtures, equipment expense - $3,140.
2. That the 2022 Budget for Function 351 – Fire Protection Mesachie Lake be amended to:
     a. Increase transfer from operating reserve - $1,660; and
     b. Increase furniture, fixtures, equipment expense - $1,660.
3. That the 2022 Budget for Function 354 – Fire Protection Sahtlam be amended to:
     a. Increase transfer from operating reserve - $1,660; and
     b. Increase furniture, fixtures, equipment expense - $1,660.
4. That the 2022 Budget for Function 355 – Fire Protection Malahat be amended to:
